Description

The MBBR technology from SFC Umwelttechnik is a compact and efficient solution for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment as well as post-treatment of treated wastewater. Special plastic carriers move continuously in an aerated reactor and provide a large surface for biofilm growth. This improves contact between wastewater and biomass and supports biological degradation. Compared with conventional activated sludge systems, MBBR requires less space, can be retrofitted easily, and responds robustly to load fluctuations. When combined with C-TECH™ and C-MEM™, additional benefits such as higher treatment performance and reduced footprint can be achieved.
