DescriptionThe EBZ series is a barrel-type centrifugal compressor family used in Shaangu mixed-refrigerant LNG trains. The design includes an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder to minimize leakage and noise. The inner cylinder is removable without disconnecting related piping, simplifying maintenance.

Applications & TestingBy December 2019, Shaangu had delivered nearly 30 mixed-refrigerant single-cycle compressor trains in both traditional and integrated skid layouts. The EBZ series also supports propane pre-cooling + mixed-refrigerant processes used in some large LNG plants. Trains undergo performance testing in accordance with ASME PTC10 prior to delivery and have passed field performance tests.
