Panda fiber is mainly used in the field of fiber optic gyroscope and other polarization related devices.Due to its high polarization stability. It is suitable for use in systems with high requirements for polarization characteristics. Panda fiber is made by assembling a preform and drawing the fiber. The base preform is manufactured using the VAD process, ensuring the axial consistency of the optical fiber structure through high-precision numerical control drilling. The optical fiber’s cross-sectional structure features two perfectly symmetrical circular stress bars.The core and stress bars are aligned, resulting in excellent polarization crosstalk characteristics.Panda fiber’s attenuation performance is improved by the VAD process,while the stress rod’s MCVD process provides excellent birefringence performance.
