Compressed air is hot and saturated with moisture upon leaving the air-compressor. The untreated moisture in the compressed air-supply will corrode working parts shortening their life span and leading to constant repair and replacement down time. On the contrary, the treated clean and dry compressed-air will minimize the oxidation of the newly blasted steel surface.
Water-cooled after-coolers perform two essential functions. They rapidly reduce temperature of the incoming air from the compressor to a safe operating range while removing substantial amount of the entrained moisture from compressed air.
The unique system whereby water passes through the copper-nickel tubing and air flows in the opposite direction through baffled plate inside the hot galvanized shell casing ensures trouble free operation of after-coolers. Each after-cooler is furnished with correct number square inches of zinc anode to minimize galvanic corrosion.
SSCE After-coolers are fitted with an efficient centrifugal dryer that comes with 75 micron filter.
SSCE can design after-cooler of different capacities to meet clients' specific requirement. We can also offer air-cooled after-cooler, which are driven by either electric motor (explosion proof) or compressed air.
