HMR3500-CH compass module is a three-axis digital compass solution with a customizable coordinate system that can be installed at any predetermined heading. Combines data from three heterogeneous magnetoresistive sensors with data from three MEMS accelerometers to provide compass heading, pitch, and tilt angle information.
HMR3500-CH provides hard iron and soft iron magnetic compensation algorithms to correct the effects of magnetic field distortion. In addition, a world magnetic field model is provided, which can automatically provide magnetic declination compensation relative to true north (geographic north).
