Motorized extensometer 15 - 205 mm | AE1202

The AE1202 automatic extensometer is capable of automatically measuring the extension of the specimen during tensile tests, including both axial and transverse measurements. This model is equipped with axial and transversal parts that feature automatic gauge length adjustment (from 15 to 205 mm, based on software programming), automatic regulation of the clamping force, and automated measuring of length and width deformation. The obtained measurement values are used to determine modulus of elasticity, percentage elongation at fracture, plastic strain ratio and tensile strain hardening exponent of sheet metal and thin strip. This model also has an imported grating displacement meter with up to 0.05 μm resolution and the unit's structure enables deformation tracking up to the fracture, without damaging the equipment. This fully automated model reduces manpower requirements while providing a considerable accuracy improvement.
