The rugged D80-1 series serial to IP GPRS/EDGE modem (called DTU as well) is a cellular terminal developed especially for M2M applications. It provides RS232/RS-485/TTL interface and is equipped with PPP, TCP/IP and DDP protocol,it could convert user's serial data into IP data and then transmits the data to the customer’s data service center through complete transparent data channel over EDGE/GPRS/GSM mobile network, allows a simple and rapid integration of cellular network connectivity into M2M applications.
