The Silverson Mixer Homogenisers are capable of producing a fine droplet or particle size typically in the range of 2-5 microns, suitable for products such as creams, lotions, ointments, sauces and flavor emulsions. The precision-machined Silverson workhead produces exceptionally high shear rates in a three-stage process that quickly homogenizes the product to their required uniformity. A high-pressure homogeniser may be required for some applications that demand submicron of globule sizes. In this case, using the Silverson Mixer Homogenizer first will highly improve throughput. Feeding the high-pressure homogenizer with a premix of uniform and fine globule size lets the product pass through the homogenizer at a much quicker rate.
