The Merkel KBK piston guide rings, in comparison to standard guide rings and strips, are developed for housings in accordance with ISO 10766 standard, and can be used in the same applications as SB and SF types. The KBK utilizes a guide length efficiently by even stress dispersion, and has a high radial load. Its lubricating medium has enhanced draw-in due to stress distribution between the counter-acting surface and guide bush.
