Description

The integrated control units of the SMD ‑ mini series of the second version are designed for use with two-phase hybrid stepper motors, which, when used together with the units, form non-programmable stepper drives of compact dimensions. The SMD-mini blocks of the second version are the drivers supplying the motors in accordance with the external digital signals supplied to the control inputs. The drivers provide the required speed and direction of rotation of the motor, as well as accurate positioning of the shaft by processing logical signals: PITCH (pulse), DIRECTION (level) and RESOLUTION (level). As a source of logic signals, frequency generators, PLCs, computers with an LPT port, etc. can be used. The features of the drivers are microstepping mode up to 1/256 and software setting of the main parameters. It is recommended to use a UART-USB converter to connect drivers to a computer. SMD‑2.8mini ver.2 drivers are supplied complete with motors SM5776. The main parameters of stepper motor SM5776 with integrated driver SMD‑2.8mini ver.2 Power supply - 12 ‑ 24 VDC Microstepping mode - 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128, 1/256 Maximum holding torque: 18.9 kgf*cm Phase resistance: 1.13 Ohm Phase inductance: 3.6 mH Motor rotor inertia: 480 g*cm2
