Depending on the installation method KTB-O dampers have a fire resistance class of EI 120 (ve i↔o) S, EI 90 (ve i↔o) S and EI 60 (ve i↔o) S and can be installed in the following construction partitions:
rigid walls with a thickness of 120 mm or greater and a fire resistance class of EI120 or higher (e.g., concrete walls, solid brick walls, walls made of aerated concrete blocks or hollow blocks, and panels),
rigid walls with a thickness of 100 mm or greater and a fire resistance class of EI90 or higher (e.g., concrete walls, solid brick walls, walls made of aerated concrete blocks or hollow blocks, and panels),
flexible walls with a thickness of 100 mm or greater and a fire resistance class of EI 90 or higher (thicker, denser, multi-layer panels).
What sets the KTB-O round fire damper with divided blade apart from other round dampers in our range is the fast installation inside a ventilation duct embedded in the wall. Another key feature is the divided blade of the damper, which opens in a single direction, allowing installation within the thickness of the wall – enabling the potential installation of a grille.
The KTB-O damper is most commonly used to ensure the appropriate fire resistance class of shaft walls, such as in apartments in multi-family buildings. It can be used in both supply and exhaust installations, as well as in natural and mechanical ventilation systems.
We manufacture KTB-O dampers in diameters typical for round ventilation systems: 100, 125, 150, 160, and 200 mm. The damper housing is reduced in size to allow it to be inserted into the pipe.
