Digital shelf wobblers are specially animated e-ink displays that can show moving images and text. In retail, they serve as an innovative product presentation at the point of sale for faster perception by customers and put the product in the spotlight compared to competing products. The lenticular effect of the displays is created by the so-called ink-in-motion technology: here, a transparent colour print - also called overlay - is placed over a conventional e-paper display. Underneath is a layer with segments that can be individually controlled. The flashing animation sequences are created by alternating between black and white. In addition to product advertising, the displays can also be used for animated warnings, for example about applicable hygiene regulations. Advantages and use of shelf stoppers The main focus of the shelf stoppers is their enormous effect on the customers. The animated images and texts attract the customers' attention. As an individual marketing measure, however, the wobblers not only make stationary retail more attractive, but also strengthen sales promotion and brand positioning. Customers can find out about promotions and offers for the product directly on the shelf. In addition to the price, advertising slogans can also be displayed on the shelf wobblers or new products can be promoted. The settings can be changed flexibly. At a viewing angle of 180 degrees, the moving content is displayed without any problems and there is no disadvantage compared to the paper version. The shelf wobblers can also be customized in terms of color, shape and size, and impress with their high resolution and vivid colors.
