When it is necessary to separate and decant particles larger than 1 mm in diameter, a cyclone is usually used. It is very simple, easy to maintain, and highly efficient.

Dust-laden air enters tangentially through the cylindrical top. The airflow follows a spiral path, first moving towards the bottom of the cone-shaped truncated cone, then rising through its center, using centrifugal force to separate shavings or dust from the air stream. Once purified, the air exits the cyclone through the top. The separated particles are discharged from the bottom of the cyclone.

Its performance depends on the entry speed of the particles, their density and granulometry, along with the geometry of the cyclone.

Manufactured from carbon steel, galvanized, and stainless steel sheets, 2 or 3 mm thick, in various models for different flow rates and/or materials. Pre-lacquered in a color to be determined by the customer.
