How Nate PSA Oxygen Generator work
Adsorption is the physical process of separating molecules. Our pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen generation system generates oxygen by separating it from nitrogen in ordinary air. Air is 20.9% oxygen and 79% nitrogen, and a small amount of inert gas.
In our oxygen generator, a container containing molecular sieves (called zeolites) is filled with compressed air. Nitrogen molecules are adsorbed by the sieve material, while oxygen molecules drift through and collect in an oxygen receiving tank connected to an oxygen generator.
Then release the pressure from the container and vent the nitrogen molecules into the atmosphere. While the pressure drop occurs, the cycle is repeated in the second container. As long as there is a demand for oxygen, the process will repeatedly swing from one container to another.
