Description

HELOS/KR & GRADIS/L is suitable for the analysis of very coarse particles and sample quantities up to the kilogram range as well as for products that do not require high dispersion forces, such as crystals, sand, granulates. The proven HELOS laser diffraction sensor with its classic diffraction arrangement in a parallel beam path, together with the GRADIS/L dry disperser, provides reliable analyses of particle size distributions in the range of 0.5 - 8,750 µm. The drop chute of the GRADIS/L causes only minimal dispersion, but controls the speed at which the particles are present in the laser beam. The sample is fed by the VIBRI vibratory feeder. A controllable vibratory feeder conveys the sample evenly and independently of the loading into the drop chute. The GRADIS/L is operated with an aspirator for particle collection, which also generates a laminar flow. However, if necessary, the sample can also be collected for further use after analysis. The measurement and dosing parameters are controlled via the PAQXOS software, which allows the determination of all relevant size parameters.
