Machine safety system HaloProtect™

Overview
HaloProtect™ is a secondary guarding solution for scissor lifts and boom platforms (MEWPs) designed to minimise asset damage during contact events and protect operators from crushing or entrapment caused by machine movement. Ribbon switches embedded in the bumper detect contact during drive or elevate operations and immediately stop the machine.

Operator Secondary Guarding (Overwatch)
The Overwatch subsystem uses a LIDAR sensor mounted on the control box side to monitor the operator's position relative to the controls. In-use algorithms evaluate operator stance and proximity and trigger a machine cut-out when required to prevent hazardous movement.
