OverviewPhiCap MKP capacitors are metalized polypropylene (MKP) capacitors engineered for low-voltage power factor correction (PFC) in industrial installations. They feature a cylindrical aluminium can with stud mounting and are supplied in single-phase and three-phase designs. Rated voltage ranges from 230 to 525 V AC and nominal output ranges from 0.5 to 30 kVAr depending on type. Typical lifetime is up to ~135,000 hours; pulse-current capability up to approx. 200·IR.
Applications- Automatic capacitor banks
- Fixed power factor correction (e.g. motor compensation)
- Detuned (tuned-off) PFC systems
- Dynamic PFC systems
Key features- Cylindrical aluminium can with stud mounting
