How to choose the right nozzle

• The first digit indicates the fan width (spray angle). Example: 4 → 40°; multiplying the number by 5 gives the approximate coverage width at 30 cm from the surface (4 × 5 = 20 cm). Wider angles (40° or more) are generally used for walls and broad surfaces; narrower angles (10° or 20°) are used for detailed work such as railings, poles and columns.
• The last two digits indicate the orifice size in thousandths of an inch (usually odd numbers). A higher number means a larger orifice and a higher flow rate (e.g. 425 has a higher flow than 423). Actual flow also depends on spray pressure and product viscosity.
