OverviewE-DIAG CHARGER is a mobile charger and diagnostic station for workshops, designed to perform traction battery charging and in-operation diagnostics on electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles. The unit combines AC/DC charging, vehicle diagnostics and battery State of Health (SoH) estimation with on-site certificate generation.
Main functions- Charging of traction batteries in BEV and PHEV (AC and DC).
- Integrated serial diagnosis of battery electronic and charging systems.
- NAVIGATOR NANO SERVICE diagnostic module for OBD/BMS access and cell monitoring.
- On-device SoH estimation and certificate issuance (workshop and accredited options).
- Charging and diagnosis of 12 V and 24 V service batteries.
ChargingE-DIAG CHARGER supports AC charging via Type 2 connector and DC charging via CCS2 Combo connector, with traction voltages up to 800 V. AC and DC charging measurements are MID-certified (Directive 2014/32/EU). The unit can manage two simultaneous charging branches (e.g., one AC and one DC) and offers automatic power adjustment with an optional PLC ENERGY METER accessory to prevent overloads on workshop electrical installations.
DiagnosisThe diagnostic functions allow real-time verification during charging. The included NAVIGATOR NANO SERVICE module provides:
- serial communication with battery electronics and charging systems
- BMS connectivity and retrieval of control unit parameters
- monitoring of individual cells if available from the vehicle
- full readout of battery and charging-system parameters
It also supports a stabilized-voltage diagnostic mode ('flashing mode') to maintain battery voltage during critical tasks (ECU reprogramming, ADAS calibration, etc.).
Battery State of Health (SoH)The device estimates traction battery SoH as a percentage using parameters read from vehicle control units and cloud processing. Workshops can generate a workshop certificate (included with TEXPACK E-DIAG CHARGER subscription) or request an accredited certificate as a paid, on-demand service delivered within minutes.
Safety & Electrical FeaturesThe system runs an internal self-diagnostic at startup. Special clamps with thermocouples monitor terminal temperature and immediately interrupt charging if abnormal temperatures are detected. The unit can automatically limit charging power to match workshop supply capacity and avoid nuisance disconnections due to overcurrent.
Design & UsabilityE-DIAG CHARGER is equipped with a 10" multi-touch colour display with glove-touch technology. Windows-based software provides a clear, workflow-oriented interface to access charging, diagnosis and certificate functions. The chassis is mobile with castor wheels for easy positioning in confined workshop spaces.
