Description

The IFbN brake & clutch temperature sensor and amplifier were designed specifically to be capable of measuring brake & clutch temperatures in extremely harsh environments. It uses the same technology found in our IRDLF Photodiode sensors that were originally developed for measuring airbox fires. By separating the amplifier using the fiber optic cable, the brake temperature sensing head can be placed in areas of extreme heat and also EMI/RFI. Our standard M4 x 20 mm fiber optic probe is rated up to 200°C however we have the capability to make very high temperature probes with ceramic insulation that will survive up to 1200°C Typical applications are for brake & clutch temperature measurement, turbocharger bearing temperature and measurements around KERS MGU.
