Description

Tinius Olsen presents Model IT503 contained impact tester for plastics. It has a built-in digital display/controller to provide high flexibility, precision, and test data resolution to suit all testing requirements. To meet their material's testing needs, customers can pick and select optional fixtures and weights. The system can operate without a dedicated PC and software. However, an optional software package for data acquisition and machine control is available. Model IT503 complies with ASTM Methods D256 and D6110 and ISO Standards 179 & 180. Its compound pendulum has an aerodynamic design. The pendulum provides highest strength in the impact direction and almost removes all windage losses. It provides seven optional weight sets. It is possible to change pendulum capacity with ease by adding any one of these sets. Sample dimensions, energy and force units are displayed in an electroluminescent method by the user-programmable display/controller. The display is in SI, old Metric or English system units. The optical serial printer provides automatic generation of reports. The tester has a "low-blow" feature, which offers a comfortable and dependable way of releasing the pendulum from drop heights, which are lower than "standard."
