Description
Non-woven fabrics such as non-crimp fabrics (NCF) are composed of unidirectional layers that are sewn together. Because each layer can be placed in a different orientation or axis, it provides strength and stiffness in multiple directions.
Our subsidiary ZOLTEK manufactures ZOLTEK™ PX35 NCF, which is produced from ZOLTEK™ PX35 large-tow carbon fiber. Unique fiber-spreading techniques are utilized to obtain a wide range of MD fabric weights for a varied set of composite part applications. Our diverse weight range of low-cost carbon fiber products achieves cost effective and quick composite part build-up. The drapable fabric construction is ideal for complex shape preforms. Pillar and Tricot stitching patterns are available.
