Description

As a fixed point gas detector, with fast and affordable deployment, five year battery life, and simple integration in WirelessHART® networks, the Vanguard wireless gas detector was designed to meet changing needs in smart gas detection coverage. Install where traditional wired detectors cannot reach due to limitations in infrastructure, or fill in gaps in plants as a part of management of change procedures. The Vanguard wireless gas detector can also reduce engineering complexity, accelerate installation time, and significantly reduce total installation costs when compared to traditional wired systems. The Vanguard gas detector is ideal for the monitoring of toxic and combustible gases without the need for costly and fixed wiring. With a five year battery life and one button calibration, the Vanguard detector is easy to operate and maintain. The Vanguard transmitter is designed using FlexSense sensors, allowing the end user to use the same transmitter with any sensor from United Electric, and each is hot swappable. FlexSense helps minimize the number of parts end users may choose to have in spare parts inventory and reduces the number of devices instrumentation technicians need to become familiar with. Available FlexSense gas sensors: Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) Methane (0-100% LEL) Propane (0-100% LEL) Electrochemical Hydrogen sulfide (0-100 ppm) Ammonia (0-100ppm) Carbon monoxide (0-500 ppm)
