Optical speed sensor (laser tachometer) for Balanset-1A and Balanset-4 balancers — it detects a reflective mark on the rotor and gives the Balanset unit its speed and phase reference; it is not a standalone handheld tachometer.
One optical sensor comes with every Balanset-1A kit (Full Kit and OEM) and with Balanset-4. It is also sold separately as a spare or replacement.

• Based on a modified HS2234 laser tachometer, adapted for Balanset series devices
• Speed range: 0.5–99,999 rpm
• Accuracy: ±(0.05 % + 1 digit)
• Detection distance: up to 2 m
• Laser: Class 2 — do not stare into the beam
• Cable: 5 m standard, 10 m option

Works with reflective tape on the rotor; a magnetic stand holds the sensor in position.
