Description

Overview
The GlobalLink family delivers plug-and-play cellular connectivity and remote visibility for off‑grid, mobile and marine installations. The range comprises the GlobalLink 520 (LTE‑M) and GlobalLink 530 (4G LTE with 2G fallback). Both units connect directly to VE.Direct-enabled devices and include a prepaid SIM with five years of connectivity.

Global connectivity
GlobalLink devices ship with an integrated prepaid SIM valid for five years (renewable). They provide continuous remote monitoring via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal without additional operator contracts or separate SIMs during the prepaid period.

Differences between models
  • GlobalLink 520: LTE‑M — low‑power cellular technology optimized for IoT applications; ideal where LTE‑M coverage is available.
  • GlobalLink 530: 4G LTE with 2G fallback — broader global coverage and greater deployment flexibility where LTE‑M availability is limited.

Monitoring & control
Both models enable local and remote system monitoring and basic control via VRM and VictronConnect:
  • Two VE.Direct communication ports to connect up to two VE.Direct devices (e.g., BMV battery monitor, MPPT charge controller).
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support for Victron Smart products.
  • Two digital inputs usable as pulse counters.
  • One remote‑controllable relay for simple switching or control actions.

Antennas & sensors
Support for RuuviTag BLE sensors (temperature, humidity, air pressure) is included; sensor data is forwarded to VRM. The units include built‑in antenna support; external antenna accessories are available for installations requiring improved reception.

Integration & portal
Remote management is provided through the VRM portal: monitor device status, view energy production and consumption graphs, generate reports and configure alarms. Quick local configuration and pairing can be done via the VictronConnect app.
