Description
The SandCat-3000 series comprises industrial unmanaged gigabit switches and the SandCat-MC-3502-F1G-T1G-LV media converter, developed for current and future industrial data networks. These units deliver reliable connectivity in demanding environments including industrial sites, maritime and trackside installations. They support 802.1Q long packets and standard industrial Ethernet protocols.
The SandCat-MC-3502-F1G-T1G-LV is intended for industrial use with dual 9.6 to 57.6 VDC power inputs. Its unique tri-galvanic isolation provides separation between ports, power supplies and chassis screens to prevent ground loop currents. The IP21 rating allows installation where condensed water may occur.
Only industrial-grade components are used to achieve high MTBF and long service life. A wide operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C is supported with no moving parts. The series has been tested to meet stringent EMC, isolation, vibration and shock standards suitable for heavy industrial, trackside and maritime environments.
The link fault forward function propagates media-failure indications to connected ports, enabling use in resilient network topologies. Network diagnostics are simplified by a port mirroring facility for monitoring with a protocol analyzer. DIP switches allow locking port speed and flow control to accommodate legacy Ethernet devices that do not support auto-negotiation.
