Description

Direct current motors with protection class IP 21 to IP 23 have a fully laminated magnetic circuit. They are characterized by a high power density and exceptional dynamics at high short-term load capacity. With a compact structure, this product series achieves a high power yield. Ease of control and handling combined with reliability are of course standard features for this series. Sample applications: - Extruder - Turret trucks - Coating machines - Crane drives - Transmission/ engine test rigs in the automotive industry (load-testing motors) - Transmission/engine test rigs (load generators) - Fluid flow test rigs in the field of inspection and research Areas of application: Direct current motors are used in plants where protection classes IP 21 to IP 23 are sufficient. The cooling air is fed through the motor by radial forced ventilation in order to transport the dissipated heat from the interior of the motor to the outside. Cooling capacity is independent of the motor speed. With a good overall efficiency, the energy produced during operation of the test rig can be fed back very cost-effectively into the generating grid. Depending on the specific use, the drives can be equipped with brake, engine speed sensor or gearbox as well as various monitoring devices.
