The HiQ packages offer add-ons for the existing Unilog B8 machine control system software. They provide additional features to give the operator more information about the process, and to facilitate operation of the equipment. The energy consumption in plasticizingis measured via the torque of the screw along the plasticizing stroke. HiQ Flow Is a software which compensates for temperature and batch fluctuations. During the injection phase, a viscosity value is determined. If a deviation occurs, the machine calculates a compensation action to keep the part weight consistent. HiQ Cushion (MicroPower only) This melt cushion control system is able to recognise trends in the change of the cushion length and compensate it within certain limits. HiQ Metering Is a method to actively close a non-return valve. An additional step is programmed between the end of metering and the decompression stroke, during which the check valve is closed by targeted screw movements. HiQ Packing The injection molding process for a uniform pressure distribution in the holding pressure phase. This is e.g. an essential prerequisite for green parts free of cracks in Powder Injection Molding. The HiQ Packing program enables an even more precise control of the screw movement during holding pressure switchover and the subsequent holding pressure phase.
