The ZH3 multi-axis module from Zeilhofer Handhabungstechnik is a compact rotary and drive module for precise positioning and rotary movements in space. It delivers a nominal torque of 250 Nm and absorbs a radial force of up to 1,200 N and an axial force of up to 1,000 N. The module is not a lifting device and has no load capacity; it moves and positions tools, gripping systems or screwdrivers. It is driven pneumatically, electro-pneumatically or electrically.

Typical applications include rotating a fixture into a desired position and holding a screwdriver, whose rotary motion the ZH3 guides and whose reaction torque it absorbs. The module can be fitted with tools directly via the hollow shaft.

The ZH3 is designed as an extension for Zeilhofer's handling systems. It adds a driven rotary axis to lifting axes, manipulators and lifting aids, turning a handling device into a combined movement and machining solution. The ZH3 can learn, hold and readjust a predefined position without any programming effort. It is manufactured at our site in Holzkirchen, Germany.
