Unlike type A and AC earth leakage relays, type B earth leakage relays are able to detect residual currents with both DC and AC components. This relay is used in conjunction with a trip protection device (automatic power cut-off) and provides protection against indirect contact. The aim is therefore to limit earth leakage currents to ensure the safety of people and property. Increased sensitivity The type B earth leakage relay is highly sensitive for detecting even small leakage currents. High trigger speed With a fully configurable triggering speed from 20 ms (instantaneous) to 30 seconds, the installation is optimally protected.
