The MS-Z202 type humidity sensor is made from high-molecular humidity-sensitive materials. When the environmental humidity rises, the high-molecular material experiences swelling. This swelling leads to an expansion of the internal free volume, increasing the number of carriers. Simultaneously, the activation energy of the counterions in the high-molecular polyelectrolyte decreases, enhancing their mobility, and causing the impedance of the material to decrease. On the contrary, when the environmental humidity decreases, water molecules escape from the ionic polymer, increasing the resistance of the material. By measuring these impedance changes, the relative humidity in the environment can be accurately monitored.
Application
As a vital chemical sensor, the MS-Z202 humidity sensor has extensive applications. In warehouse storage, it helps maintain the proper humidity level to safeguard stored items. In industrial production settings, it ensures product quality by controlling the humidity in the production environment. For process control purposes, it supplies real-time humidity data for precise process adjustments. In environmental monitoring, it plays a crucial role in assessing overall environmental conditions. In household appliances, it can be integrated to optimize device performance. Moreover, it's valuable in meteorological applications for accurate weather predictions.
