Compression platen

In compression tests a specimen is compressed until it breaks, cracks or is crushed to a specified degree. To ensure optimum test progress the specimens and compression platens must be matched. Critical factors include size, shape, surface pressure, material and surface roughness of the platens. Our compression platens are available in many different versions and can be supplied to suit your special requirements. Our product range includes both complete compression test kits and individually combinable single elements, for optimum matching to different types of specimen, material and component. Optional engraved centrical markings simplify specimen positioning. Compression platens can be mounted rigidly or, if required, via a spherical seating, allowing alignment to the specimen during the test if required.
