Tool and process monitoring system
The autonomous CTM system (Computer integrated Tool and Machine monitoring) from ARTIS can be integrated into the CNC and is used to monitor tools, machines, and processes.

Operator control of CTM as well as visualization can be integrated into the user interface of the CNC. Operation is clear, informative and easy to master following a short period of training.
Tool monitoring prevents the production of faulty parts or the occurrence of other damage resulting from worn, broken, or missing tools. Bearing damage on motor spindles, tool unbalance and collisions are detected by the machine monitoring functions. The functions for process monitoring are responsible for observation of quality criteria, for example, the tolerances of tap-drill sizes and thread depths.

Microprocessor-based control panels that cover 4 to 256 zones, all controllable via telephone line. In case of unexpected events or malfunctioning, your authorized installer can therefore intervene, even in your absence, in order to identify the problem and solve it by connecting to your control panel via telephone line and by means of a PC.
In addition, the Tecnoalarm control panels are equipped with a software providing the user with an easy-to-use programming facility, thanks also to a comprehensive library of voice messages that guide the user easily through the menu. Thus, it is ever more easy to decide which zone to enable or disable, whom to alert in case of alarm or, simply, to arm and disarm the system. All this even by mobile phone if you are travelling.

The Silver Series Plus operator interface terminals offer a wide array of display sizes and connectivity options, high quality displays, enhanced data management and monitoring features, & high quality graphics & design options.
The enhanced displays come in 6”, 8”, 10” & 12” sizes, & all units feature 65K-color high-brightness, high-contrast TFTs with high-precision touchscreens.
The OITs deliver a wide variety of connectivity options. 10/100BaseT Ethernet allows for multiple high-speed network configurations. There are three USB 2.0 host ports, three COM ports, audio in/out ports, CompactFlash port, & 44-pin IDE interface.
Many enhancements have been made to the Silver Series Plus’s configuration software. One of these is data management tools – which now includes data sampling & data logging features. The POLARIS Panel PC 19.1" is based on a fast Intel® Pentium® M processor and is equipped with all conventional interfaces. By means of the WLAN technology, individual computers or network devices such as printers or DSL access points can be wirelessly connected to an existing local network (LAN) or local networks can be set up completely wirelessly. This facilitates a high-performance visualization and operation of the processes directly on site. The wired electrical connections are realized via a terminal compartment of the “e” type of protection (increased safety).
The state-of-the-art display technology guarantees an optimum contrast, even with large viewing angle. The front panel fitting assures easy of installation. Upon request, the devices are also available as turn-key system solutions in a stainless steel enclosure as wall, floor or ceiling mounting versions. An intrinsically safe USB interface for a USB Ex i-memory stick enables the device configuration’s easy transferability. An intrinsically safe keyboard as well as a mouse, a trackball and a touchpad are available as front panel fitting. Optionally, a touch screen (intrinsically safe), assuring an absolutely maximum operator convenience, is available.
As a standard, Windows® XP Professional is preinstalled on the Panel PCs, supporting the installation of numerous software packages such as customer-specific software or other conventional standard visualization software. Of course, the operator can also employ the BARTEC “BMS Graf pro” software package. The PROFIBUS-DP interface can be used only with software package “BMS Graf pro“.
