HSK system developed for leading turn-mill machines.
Highly accurate and rigid toolholders using the new HSK-T(ICTM) standard.
What is HSK-T and the ICTM standard.
ICTM is an open standard jointly developed by a consortium of leading Japanese manufacturers based on the ISO 12164-1:2001 HSK standard shank.
It is a highly accurate and rigid face contact type aiming at improving tool accuracy by utilising a high tolerance key fit. Additionally, ICTM standard tools are compatible with the widely used HSK-A type. The ICTM standard is now acknowledged as HSK-T.

CC6065 and CC6060
New round inserts offer the perfect team for success in medium to roughing operations used mainly for the aerospace industry. Round inserts in grades CC6060 and CC6065 increase the available HRSA cutting tool assortment from Sandvik Coromant, while also bringing the advantages of ceramic grades which are able to run at 4-6 times the speed of conventional carbide inserts. CC6065 is the ideal solution for high temperature alloy machining on good quality forgings with some ovality. Improved machining results through increases in feed rate can be achieved with a stronger insert and edge line to elevate component quality. CC6060 is optimized for productivity benefits when it comes to larger diameter components and longer lengths of cut. With its excellent notch wear resistance, this grade also provides the confidence to machine at higher depths of cut than other ceramic grades currently available and is able to cope with higher feed rates
Xcel
A radical new tooling solution for machining of titanium alloys and heat resistant super alloys materials is now being introduced by Sandvik Coromant. The new and patented Xcel tool provides a host of design advantages when semi-rough turning into shoulders, not previously available from a single tool.

A radical new tooling solution for machining of titanium alloys and heat resistant super alloys materials is now being introduced by Sandvik Coromant. The new and patented Xcel tool provides a host of design advantages when semi-rough turning into shoulders, not previously available from a single tool.
Xcel features the accessibility and easy programming of an 80 degree insert along with reduced wear compared to a square insert used at 45 degree entering angle.
- Reduced notch wear and faster cutting speeds than rhombic inserts
- Ability to machine into corners to produce complex shapes
- Greater accessibility in confined spaces
- Possibility to machine in two directions
- Reduced radial forces and constant chip thickness compared to round inserts
Two insert sizes are now available to suit depths of cut from 0.5 to 3 mm in intermediate stage machining. They are offered in three grades, all proven performers in ISO S materials.

The Seco Tools Mini Shaft™ system is designed for internal turning, grooving, precision grooving, profiling, backfacing and threading.
Seco Mini Shaft can be used in holes as small as 8 mm (.315").
Mini Shaft also features a new type of joint with a double serration, which makes the connection both stable and secure. This means higher accuracy and reduced cycle time when machining small components.

• Specially developed for the cutting of steel and stainless steel.
• Micro-polished surfaces to increase resistance and prevent breakage on the cutting edge.
• Optimized chip breaker design for perfect chip breakage and reduction in the friction temperature.
• Better surfaces - even at high feed speeds.
• High degree of efficiency due to an improved tool life.
|
|
The Seco range of coated and uncoated turning inserts, supplemented with the Snap Tap range of inserts for threading, parting-off comprises nearly 4000 standard insert products and more than 1000 toolholders. The products represent one of the most comprehensive ranges available on the market.
Secolor is a selection system first introduced by Seco in the late 1980's, and has since then had many followers. The Secolor system continues to be the model for product selection and optimization. It allows you to easily choose and optimize grade and chipbreaker combinations for your unique application. With the introduction of three new universal grades and three versatile chipbreakers, Secolor has become even easier.

A new concept from Sandvik Coromant is set to provide significant performance benefits in profile machining; the CoroTurn TR® offers a more stable clamping and improved security via a robust T-rail interface between insert and holder.
Profiling operations place extreme pressures on the tool, and conventional clamping designs often leave the insert open movement during machining which reduces component tolerance and quality.
To combat this, the T-rail design uses horizontal and vertical rails to provide a stronger support for the insert in the tool holder to reduce insert movement, leading to the production of higher quality, closer tolerance components. Further stability can also be achieved via a long insert screw which reaches deep into the holder to clamp the insert firmly in place.
The two cutting edge design utilises optimized geometries and facilitates the requirements of good chip evacuation, needed to offer more continuous, uninterrupted machining.
The CoroTurn TR® is designed for turning operations using -V (35۫) and -D (55۫) style inserts and is well suited to medium to finishing applications and the operational demands of modern multi-task machining.

Extra small turning tools which cover holes down to 1 mm diameter. CoroTurn XS tooling solutions for internal turning, grooving and threading bring all the performance of CoroTurn down to smaller bores than ever, in a design conceived with small part machining.
The program comprises four sizes, CXS-04, -05, -06 and -07, each including inserts for a range of hole diameters, and available in different lengths to suit different applications.
These inserts fit into boring bars designed with internal cutting fluid supply, directed at the cutting edge via two nozzles to ensure chip evacuation and sufficient cooling. Boring bars range from 10 to 25.4 mm diameter.
The inserts locate precisely into the boring bars thanks to a locating pin, which guarantees correct positioning of the cutting edge, every time.
CoroTurn XS is designed for high precision small part machining in sliding head-stock CNC machines within the automotive, watch, connector and medical industry.
