Top-pan and torsion balance production started in 1918, and equal-beam analytical balances were introduced in the market in 1925. Ever since, continuous improvement of Shimadzu balances has contributed to the development of industry and research. In early days, precision weighing was a time-consuming practice performed only by experienced operators. Placing the sample and small masses on pans hung from a beam and reading a scale with a moving indicator was arduous and fatiguing. Shimadzu keeps removing such difficulties from weighing work.

The FZ-iWP Series are the worldfs FIRST and ONLY IP65-compliant, dust and waterproof precision balances that achieve a 1 mg resolution and provide a fully automatic, internal calibration function.
The IP65 enclosure, as defined by the international standard IEC 60529, prevents the ingress of dust and withstands water jetting from any direction. @A&D is the first and only company to achieve this for balances with a minimum weighing value of 1 mg, providing solutions to various problems inherent in precision balances in the past.
For example, if a balance is used in an environment permeated with oil mist or fine dust particles, the oil and dust will gradually get inside the balance and eventually cause a break down. @Even simply spilling liquid over a balance by accident can cause irreversible damage. A&Dfs FZ-iWP Series eliminates such worries.
The FZ-iWP Series also features a compact footprint (B5), fast stabilization speed (1 sec), clear VFD display, and a statistical calculation function. Furthermore, various options are available, including a dust and waterproof RS-232C cable (the interface is standard), Quick USB (no driver or software installation required), LAN-Ethernet (communication with multiple balances), a built-in rechargeable battery, and an animal-weighing pan.
There are six models in the FZ-iWP Series: the FZ-120iWP (122g/1mg), FZ-200iWP (220g/1mg), FZ-300iWP (320g/1mg), FZ-1200iWP (1220g/10mg), FZ-2000iWP (2200g/10mg) and FZ-3000iWP (3200g/10mg). @If you do not require an internal calibration function, you can choose the FX-iWP Series. Select the model that best suits your needs.

The new EL precision scales can be used in all areas of industry such as receipt of goods, manufacturing, stock or dispatch departments. They fulfill all requirements, which arise during inspection, commissioning, inventory, packaging, dispatching and documentation, easily, quickly and cost-effectively.

The Mass Monitor Series consists of a moment-insensitive load cell module and circuit board. The load cell is available in any weighing capacity from 200g to 50kg, delivering weight measurements as acute as 2ppm with a linearity of 10ppm.
The circuit includes a display connector and a bidirectional RS-232 serial data interface. The self-contained load cell can easily be installed in a scale base or other weight-supporting structure, using only three bolts.
A display board using a six digit LED is available and may be used as an integral part of the Mass Monitor package or for testing purposes only.
