BATTERY DIAGNOSTIC PROFESSIONAL TESTER
The new SBS-IBEX is a cutting edge digital battery diagnostic tester meeting all IEEE Standard Recommendations for all stationary applications such as telecommunication's back up power, utility switching power, uninterruptible power systems (PROFESSIONAL UPS) and more. The new IBEX can measure the accurate internal resistance (R), voltage (V), temperature (ºC) with the world's first ripple-removing algorithm (KR PAT No. 0494489) within a short time (3 seconds or less) during flotation charge. The new IBEX has been in use worldwide with the utmost in satisfaction and reliability by end users.
The SBS-IBEX comes complete with Exmons Battery Professional management software that allows the user to trend battery measurement data, export data to excel and/or create a full report with the click of a button. Note: Trended battery measurement data can detect impeding battery failures before a power backup is affected and with enough advance notice to replace the failing professional batteries.

The most frequent cause of damage in industrial electronic systems is overvoltages, caused either by switching actions in the equipment itself or by atmospheric discharges such as lightning. If the interference source is in the same circuit as the electronic equipment, the transfer impedance is low and the impulse takes a current form. If the interference is from some external source, the transfer impedance will be higher and a voltage impulse results. To simulate both these conditions, a Combination Wave Generator (CWG) is designed to deliver a voltage impulse into an open circuit and a current impulse into a short circuit. This is also known as a “Hybrid” generator. Combination Wave Professional generators have a virtual impedance (open circuit voltage / short circuit current) of 2 ohms. Power network transients can be modified by the cable properties so that in a well protected domestic or commercial environment, the impulse energy has an oscillatory form. This is known as a “Ringwave”.
EMC Partner Combination Wave and Ringwave Generators are used to simulate transient (impulses) in power dispensing networks.
Combination wave and Ringwave testing is performed on power or communication networks, which require Coupling and Decoupling Networks (CDNs) to superimpose the impulses and provide protection for auxiliary equipment that is not part of the test setup. Synchronization of the impulse with power frequencies is also required.

Teilentladungen are a symptom of the aging of the coil isolation. Teilentladungen are small electrical sparks, which arise in cavities of the isolation system. It can be determined by regular measurements of the Te activities whether defective equipment in the isolation system developed, and whether the coil has thereby a high loss risk.
Only at high voltage machines Teilentladungen cannot occur, but by the pulse load also at static frequency changer-fed low-voltage machines. A new Te measuring system for static frequency changer engines makes the measurement possible during operation or during a coil examination with impulse voltage. |
