Simplicity Linear Plane Bearing
The time-tested Simplicity® linear plane bearing has been one of Pacific Bearing Company’s staple products for over twenty years. Originally designed as a solution to catastrophic roller bearing failure, the self-lubricating Simplicity linear bearing has not only met great success in the most contaminated environments, but has helped spawn newer products using the same durable technology: Mini-Rail® and the Uni-guide to name a couple.
Simplicity linear plane bearings contain bonded Frelon® liner; which allows for low friction, long-life, high load capacity, shock absorption and the ability to work in dirty environments. They are size interchangeable and are also available in Standard Inch, Metric, and Japanese Metric sizes.
The Simplicity® product line consists of more than linear bearings, also included are: linear slides, pillow blocks, sleeve bearings, flange mounts, and die set bushings. Most products are available in inch or metric sizes.
Available for use not only in the most contaminated environments, but also the most clean, Simplicity linear plane bearings are the ideal product for a wide range of applications.
• Virtually maintenance free
• Industry interchangeable
• Applicable in dirty and clean environments
• Self-aligning capability
• Low friction and Long-life
• Shock absorption |

Sliding Instead of Rolling
DryLin® R linear bearings work through the use of sliding elements, in contrast to the design of recirculating ball bearing systems. In practice, these iglidur® elements made of high performance polymers can be manufactured from all iglidur® materials. Thus, the DryLin® R linear technology has the advantages of all of the different iglidur® bearing materials. iglidur® J is the best material for most linear applications because of its excellent wear and low coefficient of friction. Therefore, DryLin® R linear plain bearings are designed using this material.
The Most Important Properties of DryLin® R Linear Plain Bearings:
- maintenance free
- dirt resistant
- lightweight
- extremely quiet operation
- resistant to corrosion
- high static loading capacity
- resistant to shocks and vibrations
DryLin® R linear plain bearings are designed for dry running. Dirt, dust, and other abrasive media are not drawn into the bearing surface by grease or oils.
In contrast with the recirculating ball bearings, The performance of DryLiny® R bearings is not effected by the length of travel. Therefore, there are no restrictions on minimum stroke length for DryLin® R linear bearings. |

| IKOSpherical Bushings are self-aligning spherical plain bushings that have inner and outer rings with spherical sliding surfaces, and can take a large radial load and a bi-directional axial load at the same time. There are many types of Spherical Bushings, but they are basically divided into steel-on-steel types and maintenance-free types according to the kind of sliding surfaces. Steel-on-steel Spherical Bushings have inner and outer rings of high carbon chromium bearing steel, of which sliding surfaces are phosphate-treated and then dry-coated with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). They can, therefore, operate with low torque, and have excellent wear resistance and large load capacity. They are especially suitable for applications where there are alternate loads and shock loads. They have wide applications mainly in industrial and construction machinery. Maintenance-free Spherical Bushings consist of an outer ring which has a special PTFE liner reinforce with copper alloy meshes on the sliding surface, and a spherical inner ring of which sliding surface has a hard chromium plating. Creep deformation due to compressive load is small, and wear resistance is superior. Thus, they are maintenance-free and can be used for extended periods of time without re-lubrication. They are especially suitable in cased where fixed directional loads are applied and are used mainly in food processing machines and construction machinery and in other applications in which the use of oil is undesirable or lubrication is not possible. |

RBC has been a pioneer in spherical plain bearing technology since
inventing the fractured outer race design many years ago. Since that
time, RBC has continued to introduce industry leading innovations such
as high misalignment, angular contact, extended inner ring, tapered
bore, and extended lubrication groove spherical plain bearing designs.
These advanced products are used wherever pivoting, high load bearing
applications are found. Most typically, RBC spherical plain bearings
are employed in hydraulic cylinder rod ends, vehicle suspensions,
heavy equipment articulated joints, and other severe duty uses.
Industries served include off-highway mobile construction equipment,
large agricultural machinery, mining equipment, forestry products, and
other large equipment requiring bearings that provide misalignment
capabilities while carrying high loads. |

Description of bearing types
Male, female or spherical bearings are ready-to-use mechanical components, based on the journal bearing principle.
These components are used in mechanical construction to transmit static or dynamic forces at different angles.
Male and female bearings are sometimes called tips or ends.
Spherical bearings are sometimes just called bearings.
The design of bearing components is governed by the DIN / ISO 12240 standard, which also specifies the overall and interface dimensions and with neighbouring mechanical components.
Bearing components can be self-lubricating or fitted with grease nipples.
Spherical bearings supplement ball bearings or other casings in slow movements. They are also ale to withstand high loadings because of the larger surfaces in contact..
The body of spherical bearings can be made from various materials: standard steel, high grade steel, stainless steel or aluminium

Radial spherical plain bearings
Radial spherical plain bearings comprise inner and outer rings with maintenance-free sliding layers of ELGOGLIDE®, PTFE composite or PTFE-bronze film. They can support slight axial forces as well as radial forces and are suitable for alternating dynamic loads. Sealed spherical plain bearings are protected against contamination and spray water by lip seals. Large spherical plain bearings of d = 320 mm and above belong to the premium grade X-life.
Axial spherical plain bearings
Axial spherical plain bearings comprise shaft and housing locating washers with ELGOGLIDE®. They are preferably used to support axial forces and are suitable as support or base bearings. Large spherical plain bearings of d = 220 mm and above belong to the premium grade X-life.
