WhizCut provides an efficient solution to the problem of limited space when indexing inserts in a modern cnc Swiss Type Automatic lathe. Almost all types of external applications can be performed using two toolholders, one for axial turning and one mainly for radial turning (parting off etc.). The WhizCut system enables each toolholder to workholding up to 40 different kinds of inserts for various applications.
The WhizFix toolholder system uses a pin and a nut to make it possible to index or change the insert from the opposite side of the toolholder. Sandvik Coromant’s new GC1125 grade lives up to the demands of the leading parting and grooving tooling system, CoroCut® 1-2 edge and is now the first choice to achieve improved performance in parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations in a wide geometry range.
The optimization of properties for this grade delivers a wider application area and the capacity to handle improved cutting data. GC1125 has a good all round ability and provides the means to improve performance in a wide geometry range across many parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations. It is the first choice for application in steel and stainless steels and excels when machining cast iron and HRSA materials.
These advantages result from a technological breakthrough in coating and substrate technology. The combination improves wear resistance and security, either when running at higher cutting speeds or for a longer time in cut. The coating is new, PVD with TiAIN layers, including properties designed for the GC1125’s wide application area. New, fine grained substrate optimised for steels and stainless steels has improved hardness and supports increases in cutting data.
GC1125 is a simpler option, enabling machine shops to do more with one grade. Its wide geometry range offers improved performance to a larger number of machining operations.
In parting, it is optimised for steels, stainless steels and HRSA materials, a first choice in CF and CR geometries. CF is the low feed choice, giving excellent chip control and surface finish, CR the strong geometry for parting off bars and interrupted cuts at high feeds. |

Sandvik Coromant is now extending its premium program of cutting tools suppliers for parting and grooving which will, no doubt, have great influence on machining productivity.
CoroCut 3 brings a third cutting edge to the shallow parting of tubes, bars and grooving operations. The extremely small parting widths in 2,0, 1,5 and 1,0 mm facilitates will reduce the raw material usage considerably.
The insert is held securely by a unique clamping solution ensuring accurate location and easy to use. This in combination with very tight indexing tolerances will produce workpieces with very close length tolerances.
Two dedicated insert geometries ensure peak performance and excellent surface finish in all workpiece materials. The very same holder can be used for all insert widths giving maximum versatility. |
|
Features:
- Excellent stability and cutting performance Innovative tooling for the grooving application.
- High performance potential due to compact and rigid design
- Excellent reliability due to the tight clamping of the insert
- Maximum tool life - central coolant supply through the workholding straight onto the insert. |

CC6065 and CC6060
New round inserts offer the perfect team for success in medium to roughing operations used mainly for the aerospace industry. Round inserts in grades CC6060 and CC6065 increase the available HRSA parting tool assortment from Sandvik Coromant, while also bringing the advantages of ceramic grades which are able to run at 4-6 times the speed of conventional carbide inserts. CC6065 is the ideal solution for high temperature alloy machining on good quality forgings with some ovality. Improved machining results through increases in feed rate can be achieved with a stronger insert and edge line to elevate component quality. CC6060 is optimized for productivity benefits when it comes to larger diameter components and longer lengths of cut. With its excellent notch wear resistance, this grade also provides the confidence to machine at higher depths of cut than other ceramic grades currently available and is able to cope with higher feed rates

A new concept from Sandvik Coromant is set to provide significant performance benefits in profile machining; the CoroTurn TR® offers a more stable clamping and improved security via a robust T-rail interface between insert and holder.
Profiling operations place extreme pressures on the tool, and conventional clamping designs often leave the insert open movement during machining which reduces component tolerance and quality.
To combat this, the T-rail design uses horizontal and vertical rails to provide a stronger support for the insert in the tool holder to reduce insert movement, leading to the production of higher quality, closer tolerance components. Further stability can also be achieved via a long insert screw which reaches deep into the holder to professional clamp the insert firmly in place.
The two cutting edge design utilises optimized geometries and facilitates the requirements of good chip evacuation, needed to offer more continuous, uninterrupted machining.
The CoroTurn TR® is designed for turning operations using -V (35۫) and -D (55۫) style inserts and is well suited to medium to finishing applications and the operational demands of modern multi-task machining. |

Extra small chucking tools which cover holes down to 1 mm diameter. CoroTurn XS tooling solutions for internal turning, grooving and threading bring all the performance of CoroTurn down to smaller bores than ever, in a design conceived with small part machining.
The program comprises four sizes, CXS-04, -05, -06 and -07, each including inserts for a range of hole diameters, and available in different lengths to suit different applications.
These inserts fit into boring rods designed with internal cutting fluid supply, directed at the cutting edge via two supplier of nozzles to ensure chip evacuation and sufficient cooling. Boring bars range from 10 to 25.4 mm diameter.
The inserts locate precisely into the boring bars thanks to a centering pin, which guarantees correct positioning of the cutting edge, every time.
CoroTurn XS is designed for high precision small part machining in sliding head-stock Cnc machines within the automotive, watch, interconnector and medical industry. |
