The combination of proper abrasive type and size, along with air blast or wheel blast equipment selection, can produce finishes ranging from:
A very deep profile to provide an anchor pattern for heavy coatings.
A clean, bright, cosmetically pleasing finish without metal removal.
A finish stripped of coatings on composite materials without damage to the delicate underlying surface.
And literally everything in between.
International Surface Preparation has over 10 million pounds of loose abrasives inventory and more than 700 different abrasives in stock. We are a top distributor for nearly every line of abrasive we carry. Our nine sales and service locations mean convenient availability for exactly what you need.

Lapmaster International is a recognized leader in providing world-class diamond slurry, diamond compound, diamond powders, lubricants, composite plates, polishing pads, and accessories.
There are many important facets to precision surface finishing with diamond. One of the most important being the shaping and overall grading (micronizing) of the diamond particles. Lapmaster only utilizes diamond powder graded by a refined sedimentation process, which is combined with microscopic and computer shape analysis to achieve an extremely tight distribution curve. Irregularly sized diamond particles may score the work surface and can degrade surface finish. Lapmaster's diamond particles are chosen for matching size and shape so they will embed evenly into the lap plate and maximize cutting efficiency and surface finish.

Surface Technologies manufactures a wide range of aluminum, cerium and zirconium oxides. These products are used to surface finish ceramic, glass, metal and plastic substrates. The CMP products find application in planarizing various levels of semiconductor chips at the STI (Shallow Trench Isolation) and ILD (Inner Layer Dielectric) levels.
The metal oxides produced are supplied as powders and preformulated compositions to meet specific customer requirements. Compositions can be prepared in either dry, aqueous or non-aqueous vehicle systems. Our customers can choose from a series of products with purity levels ranging from 99.99% to commercial grade materials. These materials can be specifically tailored to meet particle size, density and surface area specifications.
Our newest products are precision grinding fluids recently purchased from Fluid Logic LLC. Click on the product listing below for more information about all of our Surface Finishing products.
