* All foil tapes offer excellent conformability. They are also water resistant and offer a total vapour barrier.
* All foil tapes from Advance have a white siliconised release liner and are very easy to unwind.
* All foil tapes from Advance are fully anneeled and are as soft as production processes allow.
* All foil tapes from Advance have emulsion based acrylic adhesive. Acrylic adhesive increases its bond with age, conversely, it will also peel clean if left for a short period of time.
* All foil tapes are easy to tear.
* Foil tapes should be applied at between +10°C and +40°C
* Surfaces should also be as clean and dry as possible with any loose material and dust removed as far as possible
* Tapes should be stored at a temperature of no lower than +5°C. If tape is left in a van or unheated warehouse in the winter months, it will need time to warm up prior to application.

The term "mica" is used for a group of minerals that show perfect cleavage. Mineralogically speaking, they are sheets of silicate. The name comes from the Latin word micare, meaning to shine, in reference to the brilliant appearance of this material.
Von Roll's commitment to mica starts with mining, followed by the very specialized field of producing paper from a mineral and finishing with the production of special mica tapes as well as mica ancillary parts.
Von Roll uses two types of mica, phlogopite and muscovite, for a variety of applications and depending on the needed thermal and electrical characteristic, mainly in:
Electrical and thermal insulation of electrical machines
Thermal insulation of equipment that is subject to extremely high temperatures, such as induction ovens
Insulation of cable for fire resistance

The requirements placed on plate mounting tapes leave no room for half measures: the tapes must be as adaptable as the applications themselves. This is why the tesa Softprint Toolbox is the best possible solution for plate mounting. Available in both 380µm/15 mil. and 500 µm/20 mil. categories and comprising tapes of different foam properties, the Softprint Toolbox offers the tape that best fits your application.

The term 'filmic tapes' covers a broad spectrum of carriers which includes PVC and polyethylene. Filmic tapes do look alike but they all have individual differences that make them ideally suited to specific applications. To help you make an informed decision about what tape to choose for your application, follow the guidelines below and throughout this site.

Self-adhesive sealing tape conceived for the sealing of joints according DIN 18542. Stress condition groups
1 + 2.
Characteristics: precompressed, expansive, resistant to driving rain, permanently elastic, ecologically beneficial, open to diffusions
Advantages
- Easily applicable without special tools
- Uniform and retarded behaviour of the compression
- The joints are sealed in one sole operating cycle.
The application of primers, preparatory paintings or
maskings are superfluous.
- Uneveness within the joints is completely compensable
by its expansive properties
- No setting period
- No problems as regards laterial adhesion
- Subsequent treatments, such as back-filling or
smoothing are not necessary
- No supplementary applications of sealants
The application of joint sealing tapes is independent of weathering conditions. The choice of the appropriate tape dimensopms os decisive for its function. Please contact us.
Everywhere, when a sealing tape meets with specific requirements, which sufficiently correspond to an airtightness inferior to < 1,0 and when the stress condition groups according to the German industrial specification DIN 18542 are not demanded, it is recommendable to apply the VITO VDB joint sealing tape.

Outstanding dimensional stability and tensile strength are the primary characteristics of PTFE coated glass-fabric pressure sensitive tape. Other features include:
Excellent strength
High heat resistance
Non-stick surface
Exceptional wear life
Available in the following grades:
Standard Grade (6085) - Preferred for most adhesive applications, smooth surface with remarkable non-stick properties.
Premium Grade (6095) - The smoothest surface for the most demanding applications

All Filmic tapes:
* Will peel clean from most surfaces.
* Have a writable surface except for AT6000 which has a silicone coating.
* Have some degree of electrical insulation due to the polymers present in the tape's manufacture.
* Have high elongation properties.
* Conform to awkward surfaces very well.
* Are generally water resistant.
* Have non-corrosive adhesives making them unlikely to react with the surface they are in contact with.
* Should be applied at temperature between +10°C and +40°C.
* Finally, please note; PVC is inherently flame retardant but polyethylene will burn easily.
* Low tack protection tapes actually have high tack but have low adhesion which enables them to peel clean from most surfaces.

tesa offers the most comprehensive range of TPP strapping adhesive tapes in the industry. TPP is a high strength film substitute for filament tape. There is a cost advantage to using TPP over filament tape since TPP gains its strength from the film and not the filaments. tesa combines a variety of adhesive systems and backing grades to satisfy some of the most difficult applications in the industry. tesa offers TPP tapes in broad variety of colors, and size dimensions, including spools for continuous production.

THERMOTAPE sealing tapes are manufactured from resilient texturised glass yarns. These products are characterised by excellent sealing properties.
THERMOTAPE is available as a robust construction in a large variety of dimensions. THERMOTAPE is also supplied in finer constructions used primarily to prevent metal to metal to glass contact. To help reduce the end-user's costs as well as to make fitting over bolts and studs easier, THERMOTAPE L products are also available as a laddered tape construction with an open section down the middle.
THERMOTAPE sealing tapes are used for such applications as e.g. casing seals for doors and inspection windows in solid-fuel or wood-fired boilers and stoves. THERMOTAPE C with channelled sections is a special development to facilitate fitting around the window of glass-fronted appliances.
