With the "Screw Jack Building Block System", ZIMM offers a versatile program for the electromechanical adjustment of linear movements.
The designer finds ideas and solutions for lifting capacities from 0.25 kN to 1000 kN in the modular building set. There are numerous applications, for example, theatre and stage construction, plants for the production of sheet steel and steel pipes, wood working machines, plastics processing machines, textile machines, assembly equipment in the automobile and aircraft industries, food and beverage production equipment as well as packaging machines.

Screw Jacks are the ideal product to push, pull, lift, lower and position loads of anything from a couple of kilograms to hundreds of tonnes. Many of our customers prefer our Series BD Screw Jack in preference to hydraulic or pneumatic jacks because of their greater precision and consistency.
Our Screw Jacks can run at Lifting Speeds of up to 5.4 m/min which is 90 millimeters per second. These lifting screws can be made up to 4 meters in length and longer ones can be made upon request and are capable of lifting 500 kN (50 tonne).

Versatile Joyce Machine Screw Jacks lift and precisely position all kinds of loads from 250 lbs. to 250 tons. Upright or inverted, these precision jacks operate at full capacity whether the load is in tension or compression. WJ series single lead jacks are self locking under full lifting capacity, while DWJ double lead series jacks offer increased travel speed. Heat treated alloy steel worm shafts, aluminum/bronze worm gears and tapered roller or ball bearings provide rugged reliability.
Double extended worm shafts are standard. Joyce screw jacks come in translating screw, rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) and keyed designs. All screw jack designs can be fitted with a protective boot. Jacks are available with one of four standard screw ends or special ends to meet your requirements.
An optional anti-backlash feature compensates for thread wear, assuring minimum play between lifting screw and worm gear for smooth, precise operation. Stainless steel screw jacks (mechanical actuators) offer corrosion protection for linear motion applications in arduous environments. Our product range of threaded spindles includes single-start and multi-start metric trapezoidal threads according to German standards DIN 103 and DIN 380 for flat, metric trapezoidal threads and DIN 30295 for rounded trapezoidal threads.
Furthermore, we are prepared to produce your trapezoidal thread according to any international standard like ACME and STUB ACME as well as according to petroleum industry standards.
Custom made trapezoidal threads
We manufacture trapezoidal screw threads ready for installation, including all turning, milling and drilling operations as well as subsequent end machining and surface finishing.
On demand, we also provide your tongued trapezoidal screw thread in standard lengths from 6 metres.
In addition we manufacture special trapezoidal threads which exceed the standard measurements. We are able to produce threads in excess lengths up to 12 metres or longer, assembled by several single parts

Trapezoidal threads convert circular motions in linear motion and are mainly used for lineal drives.
