Screw Jack Products:
Screw Jacks are the ideal product to push, pull, lift, lower and position loads of anything from a couple of kilograms to hundreds of tonnes. Many of our customers prefer our Series BD Screw Jack in preference to hydraulic or pneumatic jacks because of their greater precision and consistency.
Our Screw Jacks can run at Lifting Speeds of up to 5.4 m/min which is 90 millimeters per second. These lifting screws can be made up to 4 meters in length and longer ones can be made upon request and are capable of lifting 500 kN (50 tonne).

Screw - jacks can be used individually or combined (two or more) in order to discharge various load shifting operation.
The housing is made of stress relieved and sand blasted welded steel.
The worm shaft is made of alloy steel and completely ground.
The worm wheel is made of bronze with elevated anti-friction characteristics.
Each screw jack must meet varying requirements; therefore, each shaft must be manufactured on customer's drawings.

Versatile Joyce Machine Screw Jacks lift and precisely position all kinds of loads from 250 lbs. to 250 tons. Upright or inverted, these precision jacks operate at full capacity whether the load is in tension or compression. WJ series single lead jacks are self locking under full lifting capacity, while DWJ double lead series jacks offer increased travel speed. Heat treated alloy steel worm shafts, aluminum/bronze worm gears and tapered roller or ball bearings provide rugged reliability.
Double extended worm shafts are standard. Joyce screw jacks come in translating screw, rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) and keyed designs. All screw jack designs can be fitted with a protective boot. Jacks are available with one of four standard screw ends or special ends to meet your requirements.
An optional anti-backlash feature compensates for thread wear, assuring minimum play between lifting screw and worm gear for smooth, precise operation. Stainless steel screw jacks (mechanical actuators) offer corrosion protection for linear motion applications in arduous environments. Designs are available with operating capacities from 10kN to 100kN and up to 300kN sustaining capacities. Either completely stainless steel units are available or hybrid units combining stainless steel and plated materials for a value engineered solution. Worm Gear Screw Jacks are available from Power Jacks in both metric and Imperial (inch) designs in load ratings from 5 kN to 3500 kN with machine screw, ball screw or roller screw drives in Cubic, Single Face or Stainless Steel housings.
