Jenway is the world leader in Flame Photometer production, with our simple, easy-to-use models found in many thousands of laboratories all round the globe. This interference free method of measuring Sodium (Na), Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Lithium (Li) and Barium (Ba) is common in the food processing and feed industries, for agricultural, dairy and wine analysis, in chemical and petrochemical processing, in the drinks industry, in environmental and water analysis, cement, mineral and ore processing and many more… A key area of application is in the clinical laboratory where flame photometers have traditionally been used for the measurement of electrolytes in serum, plasma, urine and other body fluids.
The Models PFP7 and PFP7/C are low temperature, single channel flame photometers designed for the routine determinations of Na & K (Ca, Ba and Li optional). With in-built automatic flame failure detection for user safety these products can be used with Propane, butane, LPG or natural gas, an optional compressor manufacturer is also available where a clean air supply is not available.
The Model PFP7/C is specifically designed for use in clinical applications. The in-built lineariser circuitry enables readings of both Na and K at the normal clinical serum concentrations to be displayed directly in mmol/l. Serum samples must be diluted prior to presentation to the flame photometer. The Series 7 diluter is available to enable this to be carried out efficiently and accurately. |

The evaluation of the Cuvette Tests is the ultimate in simplicity. Just insert the cuvette - everything else is automatic.
A professional laser identifies the cuvette from its professional barcode. As the cuvette rotates, it is measured 10 times. Any readings that are distorted by soiling on the cuvette are automatically eliminated. The measurement result is shown immediately in mg/l. All without even having to push a button! And there is much more to the DR 2800. Measurements can be carried out in the open cuvette compartment, thus saving time.
Interference from background light is eliminated by the innovative optical system. The generously proportioned backlit graphic touchscreen makes operating child's play. Clearly organised menus guide the user easily to his goal, and user methods can be quickly programmed. In the field, the backlighting can be switched off to save energy, allowing up to 40 hours of battery-powered operation. There is storage capacity for 50 user-specific tests and up to 500 measured values. The USB port facilitates lightning fast updates and data backups. The DR 2800 is available on its own or as a complete portable laboratory.

Jenway have added the 67 Series, split beam spectrophotometers to their range to meet the demands of your laboratory. Secure Multi-User operation enables individuals, groups, laboratories or shifts to protect their work with a PIN code, while within this, methods can be designated Private, Read-Only or Public, ensuring procedures and valuable data can not be corrupted or used without authorisation or training.
The Model 6700 covers the visible wavelength range with a spectral bandwidth (SBW) of 4nm, the Model 6705 covers the UV/visible wavelength range with the same SBW, while the Model 6715 meets the EP/USP requirements with a SBW of 1.5nm across the UV/visible wavelength range.
Their large, colour touch-screen display ensures the fastest response to operator input and the clearest presentation of options and results. A sealed QWheelTM is provided for fine cursor control or scrolling. With this cutting-edge user interface and novel operating system the 67 series offer the simplest, most intuitive operation in their class.
Even the most basic configuration will store over 1000 methods and results on the internal memory, while in excess of 8000 can be saved with extended memory. In addition to this all methods, settings and user preferences can be saved on removable SD memory cards, making it easy to back-up all your work, while copying it (cloning) to other instruments will ensure identical operation in related labs. The new SD/USB memory card makes transfer to a remote PC a very simple task. Quite simply this new range is both Your Spectrophotometer and Everyone’s Spectrophotometer. |

The Biowave DNA has been specifically designed for life science applications and is a powerful tool for the laboratory that requires a dedicated instrument for the determination of nucleic acid purity and concentration, protein concentrations or cell density measurements. The system utilises Gifford Optics for high energy throughput, a Xenon light source for long lamp lifetimes together with simple selection professional software and large graphical display for ease of use and data interpretation. The stored methods include DNA, RNA and oligonucleotide calculations, protein assays such as direct UV measurement, BCA, Biuret, Bradford and Lowry and cell density measurement. Unlike many dedicated life science instruments the Biowave DNA can also measure Absorbance or concentration at any wavelength so there is complete flexibility for future applications.
For added convenience it is possible to display a scan of the nucleic acid profile which is particularly useful for RNA samples where impurities may be present in the 230 nm region, yet not have an adverse effect on the 260/280 Absorbance ratio. The system is compatible with both Quartz and disposable low volume UV cuvettes. Results may be printed to an optional integrated high quality graphical professional printer for a permanent record or exported via a USB connection to a suitable PC running optional Print Via Computer (PVC) software for advanced reporting or data storage. |

| Colorimeters use sensors that simulate the way the eye sees color but unlike the human eye, they can assign consistent measurement parameters to every color, no matter what the ambient conditions happen to be. For color quality control there is nothing more important. Konica Minolta’s portable colorimeters measure the color of liquids and beverages; foods like pasta, wheat, flour, and fish; petroleum and chemicals; ceramics; textiles and plastics. Accurate, repeatable, and with excellent inter-instrument agreement, Konica Minolta colorimeters are ideally suited for high-volume use in both production and laboratory applications. |

| The CO 7500 is a value for money instrument that has been designed for use in educational establishments including sixth form colleges, secondary schools, technical schools and colleges. With a large, uncluttered, digital display and simple push button controls, the instrument is ideal for students. The unit is compact and robust enough to withstand the rigours of the teaching environment, and is available in mains only or mains /internal rechargeable NiMH battery versions. The CO 7500 is easy to use. The eight professional filters - 440, 470, 490, 520, 550, 580, 590 and 680nm - are encased in an integral filter wheel and the wavelength required is obtained by rotating this until the relevant, colour coded, number is visible in the indicator window. The ergonomic design makes this very convenient, and filters cannot be accidentally lost or damaged. With only five buttons (on/off, reference and test, convert between Absorbance and % Transmission readings and kinetics), the instrument is ideal for beginners. When used in kinetics mode - to study rates of reaction, for example - the CO 7500 takes readings approximately every second and these can be sent to a chart industrial recorder (via the analogue output) if required. Alternatively, the results could be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet for graphing and other manipulation using the appropriate accessories. The samples can be measured in either standard 10mm pathlength cuvettes a minimum of 400 µl is required or in 16mm diameter test tubes (adapters for 10/12 mm test tubes are an optional accessory with the CO 7500);. There is a drain hole at the bottom of the cell compartment so that spillages do not affect the Instrument. |
