Overview DEN-600 is a compact, portable, rechargeable battery-powered photometer with a 600 nm optical system supporting Absorbance (OD600), McFarland turbidity (McF) and Bradford protein assays. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to a spectrophotometer, the device is suitable for use inside biosafety cabinets, anaerobic chambers or for relocation between laboratory rooms for on-site measurements.
Key capabilities The vessel holder accommodates standard 10 mm path cuvettes, round-bottom and conical vials, and Falcon tubes (Ø12–16 mm), enabling readings in Abs (OD) or McF units. USB connectivity and DEN software enable data transfer, processing and calculation, software calibration for Bradford assays, and custom calibration for specific vessels and turbidity standards.
