Description
Aspirator FTA-1 is designed for aspiration and removal of residual alcohol or buffer from microtest tube walls during DNA/RNA purification and other macromolecule reprecipitation techniques. The device is also suitable for routine cell-washing from culture medium and resuspension in buffer. The aspirator creates negative pressure in the trap flask using a built-in microcompressor. The collecting tip is connected to the trap flask by a polyethylene tube. Liquid is removed from the microtest tube when the collecting tip contacts the solution surface. A tube holder-organizer is located on the right side of the FTA-1 and accommodates two tubes (for example, hydrochloric acid solution and distillate) required for washing and storing the collecting tip to enable re-use.

Filtration
Hydrophobic microbiologic filter 2200/02 prevents contamination transfer from the trap flask; efficiency up to 99.9%, retains particles larger than 0.027 µm.
