Overview
The Biosan UVT-B-AR is a benchtop DNA/RNA UV-cleaner workstation designed to create a contamination-free environment for PCR setup and nucleic acid workflows. It integrates a dual UV decontamination system: an open 25 W UV‑C lamp (253.7 nm) for surface and air disinfection (inactivates DNA/RNA contaminants, viruses and bacteria within 15–30 minutes) and a patented UV air recirculator for continuous internal air irradiation. The recirculator processes the cabinet volume approximately 100 times per hour, providing continuous internal decontamination without exposing the operator to UV. A 3.5" touchscreen enables intuitive programming of UV cycles and real-time lamp-life monitoring. An energy-efficient 8 W LED daylight lamp supplies bright workspace illumination while reducing consumption by about 50% versus fluorescent lighting.
