Dynex pumps operate at pressures to 20 000 psi (1380 bar). The checkball design, with individual piston check valves supplier, provides increased life and performance essential in critical environments.
These pumps are ideal for difficult conditions including:
High pressure and excessive pressure spikes;
Special fluids including Skydrol, water glycol and MIL-Spec fluids;
Dirty environments and contaminated fluids;
Extreme temperature ranges;
Long, difficult duty cycles;
The piston check cocks direct flow from the inlet side of the pump to the pump outlet port. The positive-seating valves provide better wear and greater volumetric efficiency, especially at high pressures. Bi-directional shaft rotation delivers constant direction of flow regardless of drive shaft rotation.

The InLine variable displacement pump type V30D and V30E work according to the swash plate principle and are intended for open circuit operation in industrial and mobile hydraulics. There is also an option for a thru-shaft for flange mounting additional variable and fixed displacement pumps. Type V30E is intended as successor of V30D, where the completely new development allowed to realize state of the art pump design. This concerns primarily the optimization of self-suction speed rating, minimized noise level, weight, and pulsation as well as increased service life.
These pumps are suited for a wide range of applications due to their low running noise and various pump regulation.
Hydraulic circuits where several outlet flows are required can be fed either by one individual pump or a multiple pump. Main benefit of these pumps are the sturdy design, the good performance/weight ratio, long service life
due to oversized bearings specifications, and the swash plate angle indicator.

A majority of the variable piston pumps on the
market were designed decades ago, and very
few modifications have been made since then.
When Parker Hannifin decided to develop a new line of
variable piston pumps for the mobile market, it was
obvious to us that we needed to listen to and understand
our markets. We needed to get our hands around the
latest requirements and move the development forward.
Instead of starting the design work at the drawing board,
we went out to our customers and asked them what
characteristics they required from a new pump. Very
soon, the most important requirements became obvious.
OEM’s were looking for pumps that were easy and
inexpensive to install, had a low noise level, lasted a long
time, had a high self-priming speed and were equipped
to handle future pump controls.
With this in mind, our product team went to work on
perfecting our new line of pumps. The result: the new
Variable Piston Pump Series P2/P3. |

The variable volume and pressure compensated design simplifies circuit design, and reduces heat buildup and noise. Four pumping control options permit the designer to choose the most efficient means to power his hydraulic equipment. Choices include the standard pressure compensator control, remote pressure control, load sensing control, and horsepower limiting control.
Brass piston slippers pivot and rotate to equalize wear while a fluid passage through the slipper reduces loading and provides lubrication for the piston industrial shoe and wear plate. Hardened swash plate and trunnion pins provide rugged support for the piston block and associated rotating group components.
Efficiently designed porting reduces noise at all pressure and flow levels for quiet, efficient operation that eliminates the need for noise shrouds. The rugged, cast iron body is thicker at stress points which contributes to quiet operation.
Specifications
Mountings: SAE 2 suppliers of bolt mountings. SAE 'A', SAE' B', and SAE 'C'
Tandem pump drive capabilities
Capacities: 6, 10, 15, 20 29 GPM @ 1750 RPM
Displacements: .88, 1.26, 2.09, 2.62, and 3.78 cubic inches per revolution
Pressure Compensation Ranges: 200 to 3500 PSI continuous duty, up to 4000 PSI intermittent duty
Recommended Fluids:
Petroleum based fluids are recommended. Fluids should be designated by the fluid manufacturer for use in hydraulic systems. Fluids should contain inhibitors to prevent rust and oxidation and should contain anti-wear, anti-foam, and deaerating agents. For other fluid types, please contact your Continental Hydraulics representative.
Recommended Operating Viscosity
Petroleum based fluids:
Optimum - 140 sus (30 Cst.)
Continuous Minimum - 60 sus (10 Cst.)
Continuous Maximum - 750 sus (160 Cst.)
Max cold start up 7500 SUS
Fluid Cleanliness - ISO 18-16-13 is recommended
Operating Temperature - Operating temperature is determined by the viscosity characteristics of the fluid used. Control operating temperature as needed to assure that fluid viscosity is within acceptable limits. Because high temperatures degrade professional seals, reduce the service life of the fluid, and create scalding hazards, fluid temperatures should not exceed 180° F. (82° C.) at the case drain.
Mounting Position - Unrestricted. However, horizontal mounting is preferred.
Relief cocks are recommended for all applications to help protect personnel and the system from potentially damaging overloads |
