Super Comet
With a No. 3 nozzle, the Super Comet cleans a path about 1-inch wide, at up to 72 inches per minute. With 20 feet of hose, the four-wheel cart moves easily on any smooth, level surface. The built-in 1/2 cubic foot, ASME-coded pressure vessel features an adjustable metering valve to handle all common non-metallic recyclable abrasives. A storage hopper holds the recovered media and refills the pressure vessel when the operator releases the remote control handle. The system has a built-in moisture separator, pressure regulator, and gauge. The dust collector houses 12 cotton sateen filter tubes.

6 Cuft Contractor Blast Machines
High-performance blast cleaning system removes corrosion, mill scale, and coatings from most surfaces. Produces a uniform surface texture, and creates a surface profile to increase bonding for coatings. See related literature for additional applications. Machine holds 6 cubic feet of abrasive for up to 30 minutes of continuous blasting at 100 psi with standard No. 6 nozzle (3/8-inch orifice).
Requirements for Operation
These items are required but not included with this equipment:
- Clean, dry, compressed air of sufficient volume to maintain desired pressure at the nozzle. Refer to Air Consumption Chart in Blast Off 2 booklet (publication stock no. 09294).
- Maximum working pressure 150 psi
- Minimum pressure 30 psi needed to operate OSHA-required remote control valves
- NIOSH-approved, type CE, supplied-air respirator.
- Grade D breathing-air supply as defined by Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification: G-7.1 (Refer to www.cganet.com).
- Abrasive blast media specifically marketed for abrasive blasting and appropriate for your application.
- Appropriate blast suit, work boots, hearing and eye protection.
Description of Operation
The operator controls blasting from a remote control handle at the nozzle. Pressing the handle starts blasting; releasing it stops blasting. The blast machine contains abrasive and meters it into the compressed air stream.

Our wet blast cabinets provide an optimum solution for the processing of sensitive surfaces. Gentle treatment of the workpieces is guaranteed by the combination of blasting medium with water. Very fine burr removing and roughness depths are no longer a problem. Powerful feed pumps and wear-resistant agitators guarantee optimum wet blasting for continuous use. A specially-designed viewing window with integrated screen rinsing ensures a clear view when blasting. An overflow separator that corresponds to the latest environmental regulations prevents blasting medium or solid material getting into the wastewater system.

These automated machines are used for small, series-produced components.
Workpieces are generally processed on an indexing turntable. Lifting doors prevent the escape of abrasive and dust.
Additional strip brushes are fitted when continuous blasting is required.
Rotational speed of satellites as well as vertical and horizontal movements of nozzles are fully adjustable.
The turntable may be indexed in steps with 1, 2 or 4 pieces ea.
In the basic version automated turntable machines comprise a single blasting station.
The workpiece is loaded manually and processed by one or several nozzles.
Automated pass-through machines offer the same workpiece and nozzle manipulation options as automated turntable machines.
A conveyor belt transports workpieces.

The range of the Matravac type constitutes processing machines by impact mobiles and work in closed circuit.
Projection and instantaneous recovery are carried out directly on the level of the gun without fear of projection of dust.
According to the shape of the part to be treated, one will adapt an adequate type of brush (brushes cylindrical hairs short or long, angle brushes...)
Do not bring any more the part to shot-blasting... Amenez shot-blasting at piece-rates!

These units feature a unique closed-circuit system, i.e. immediately after the blast media has been thrown onto the workpiece it is recovered and recycled. This ensures a consistent quality of the abrasive and minimises consumption.
You are free to blast anywhere in open or closed environments, without interfering with other activities nearby - with no pollution.
Closed-circuit machines have been designed for heavy-duty industrial applications.
They are available with air ejector or vacuum pump (side-channel exhauster) to generate the recovery air flow.
Problast closed-circuit systems are suitable for cylindrical workpieces and flat surfaces. A typical application is the surface treatment of rollers.
But there are numerous other workpieces and applications for which the closed-circuit system represents an ideal solution, for instance the cleaning of welds. This makes pickling as well as grinding and polishing of the surfaces superfluous.

Unlike other hollow bodies tubes and pipes can be processed horizontally because abrasive and compressed air may escape at the rear end.
That is why our Problast PowerPacks with closed-circuit system are the ideal equipment to blastclean, descale and activate the insides of tubes and pipes.
There are two different blasting methods:
1. Blow-through method
In the easiest case, such as the blasting of coils, a blast nozzle is connected to the forward end and a recovery hose to the rear end of the tube.
When straight tubes are to be processed the rear end of the tube is led to a recovery box where the abrasive is collected and recycled.
2. Lance method
For larger tube diameters special blast nozzles are fitted to a lance which is inserted in the tube:
The rear end of the pipe is positioned in an abrasive recovery box.
A blast lance is inserted cleaning the pipe while it retracts.
Either the pipe, the lance or the blast head is rotated.
Multi-nozzle blast heads are available for high-production needs.

This machines are suitable in form and tool construction.

For semiautomatic blasting of workpieces:
gear, wheels, medical implants, pipes, bars, nails, etc..
A large advantage of this plant is that the parts are always same blasted because of the horizontal nozzle movement and the rotation tabel.

This type of machine is particularly suitable for shotblasting small parts loaded in bulk. A special anti-abrasive rubber mat arranged as a cradle receives the articles to be treated and with its movement maintains them in a constant tumble.
The articles are hit by the jet of abrasive generated by the turbine, and by continuously changing position, they receive the shotblasting treatment extremely uniformly on all the surfaces. A steel belt is recommended for all earth fusion materials and for all parts with weight exceeding 15 kg each

These machines are possible to have with injection or with pressure blasting system.
Suitable for lots of parts for ex: screw, pins, cast pieces etc..

Rösler shotblasting systems are characterized by many innovative details.
In order to utilize the available space, a compact machine design of this tumble belt batch machine was chosen which fits into the flow of the production line. The advantage of the batch process was that the components could remain in the shot blasting chamber for a longer time than in a continuous machine. In the case of sand removal, a longer blast cycle is required for optimum cleaning. The accumulation of parts into batches was solved by vibratory hoppers with a capacity of up to 400 litres. The engineers paid special attention to the tumblast system and the loading conveyors. The high part temperature, the different geometries, the different parts sizes, and the different part weights, required utilisation of a steel belt. The loading conveyors were equipped with felt-like, heat resistant conveyor belts.
The sand removal process required another special system feature. In order to remove sand continuously, quickly, and completely from the shot blasting system and to recycle it after cleaning, each machine was fitted with a double magnetic separator, a double cascade air flow separator and an impact pre-cleaner.
