This comprehensive range of tank washing devices have been developed for a number reasons. Primarily this is due to the quest for greater efficiency in all kinds of industrial procedures, but it is also the continuous requirement to assure a constant and higher quality level of product. Environmental considerations are also influential; the need to reduce energy use and the increasing costs involved in the disposal of effluents are also factors. Thus resulting in the need for a cleaning process that produces a totally satisfactory result and is completed using the lowest possible volume of cleaning solution; the right tank washing head can also be energy efficient.
Our range from the classic fixed head to the more sophisticated models has been developed to cope with the most demanding applications. The following basic concepts should be given proper consideration in order to determine the correct washing cycle for each single application, and consequently the most suitable type of tank cleaning device.

Lechler tank cleaning nozzles work without expensive and defectprone remote drive systems. They are self-rotating and driven by the cleaning fluid. Most types are available in stainless steel as well as in numerous other materials, e.g. PVDF.
The ingenious design of the orifices insures a powerful cleaning and low water consumption at the same time.

Tank Cleaning can be defined as manual or automated. Cleaning can be a simple rinse with water, or cleaning with detergents and chemicals. Or cleaning can refer to sanitizing with cleaning agents that reduce microbial contaminants. No matter what, the end result of effective tank cleaning is the application of appropriate and consistent levels of rinsing, cleaning, or sanitizing at specified intervals. The goal is ultimately to prevent contamination that would alter the safety, identity, strength, quality, or purity of the final product. Spraying Systems Co. manufactures more than 80,000 different spray nozzles and accessories. Included in our line is a large selection of tank washers and tank washing nozzles. As a result, we're more likely to have available a nozzle to suit the needs of your tank washing application. And you can also be assured that the nozzle you select will be the most cost-efficient design possible. Visit our Web site @ www.spray.com for all your tank washing needs.

The VARITOP® Tanktop System may be equipped on choice with spray balls or rotating jet cleaners always in connection with the same basic components. The connections ( interfaces ) are identical. In contrast to spray balls, where the cleaning effect is achieved by wetting the tank wall, rotating jet cleaners have the advantage of an additional mechanical cleaning effect by the slowly rotating fan-shaped jet and the associated interval rinsing. Optimal cleaning provides highest plant availability and product quality. Tuchenhagen rotating jet cleaners are availabe with function monitoring as an option. Each cleaner, whether a cleaning lance or a jet cleaner, can be adapted to the customers requests. A fixed cleaning lance or a rotating jet cleaner can maintain an optimal introduction length and an optimised spray ball.

Tornado Nozzles do more …
than simply clean by compressed air blow! Contamination such as dust, swarf or even liquids are loosened by a powerful air-jet. Air turbulence created by the rotating movement traps and effectively removes contamination from the surface. Both rotating arms can be individually adjusted, i.e. the speed of rotations and the jet angle can be adjusted to suit the application. Tornado Nozzles only use compressed air and are absolutely reliable devices. They may also be used in explosion-risk areas.
Cleanroom version
All Tornado Nozzles are available in a cleanroom version. At an operating pressure of 6 bar, they are suitable for cleanrooms with clean-air conditions “class 100” (US Federal Standard 209E).
Tested by the Fraunhofer Institute (Institute for Production Technology) in Stuttgart, Germany.

Ionizing Air Nozzles
Ionizing air nozzles work off compressed air to provide a source of cleaning to surfaces in the manufacturing process. Nozzles can be a single unit mounted on a bench or equipment or in series with many nozzles to reach tough areas or cover wide webs and parts.
