Engineering Base is the new and innovative design software for the electrical engineering community. Creating electrical design documentation with Engineering Base is faster and easier than ever. Engineering Base combines Microsoft Office Visio, with Microsoft SQL Server, the powerful enterprise relational database management and analysis system. Electrical diagrams are drawn with Visio and all data is managed with the SQL Server.
The typical situation in electrical design
In order to manage your engineering project, you need to work with different sets of tools. IEDScout is a universal client to IEC 61850 servers - such as substation IEDs - and a publisher/subscriber for GOOSE messages. It provides numerous useful functions needed in the substation or the laboratory.
As an IEC 61850 client it supports many functions, from generic reading/writing of data attributes to using the self description of the IED and producing SCL files from it. It detects GOOSE messages on the network and monitors them. The IEDScout also simulates GOOSE messages.
