Nomenclature
Ip (Arms) : Operating primary current range in A rms
Turns ratio : Recommended ratio of primary turns to secondary turns
Rb : Burden resistor connected across the secondary winding
DCR : Secondary winding resistance
AE (%) : % Max amplitude error in the operating primary current range
PE (Deg) : Max phase error in the operating primary current range in Degrees
Secondarytermination : PC mountable corresponds to secondary winding terminated on pins which are directly mounted on a printed circuit board. In the case of Fly leads, the secondary winding are terminated on to hook up wire.

Measurement transformers
Current sensors and voltage transformers
Current transformers, for 50/60 Hz and High Frequency.
- with nanocrystalline and amorphous cores with low linearity and phase errors, “DC tolerant” versions too
- types for high frequency with ferrite core
- built-in primary winding on some product types.
- usually supplied encapsulated in epoxy resin, wired or for PCB assembly
- toroidal and linear design
Transformers designed for voltage measurement with good linearity and galvanic insulation, up to 10KV dielectric strenght.

HPT categoría de planar
The HPT series (Hybrid Planar Transformer) is able to manage power up to 3150W, with efficiency up to 99%, due to its design and its low losses. It is available with full-bridge and ZVT full bridge topology and it’s a specific solution for DC/DC transformers applications for 28V buses.
Key characteristics:
- High range of operating temperature from -40º C to 90º C, with heat sink dissipation, with effective temperature up to 125º C
- Storage temperature from -50º C to 170º C
- Operating frequencies up to 150KHz
Due to the advantages of this inductors, they are recommended especially for these applications: DC/DC converters of 28 V, inverter, DC/AC converter high voltage buses, electronic control unit (ECU), control unit.

Toroid Corporation offers two low cost standard design current transformers. Both are used in applications where you want to detect or measure AC-currents with no need for tight tolerances. Typical applications include power limiting controllers for air conditioning equipment, electrical heating systems, electrical furnaces, and motor drives.

Using an auto-transformer is always an economical solution when you need to step down the voltage from 230V to 120 V or vice versa, and the equipment already has a fully isolated transformer or when the components do not require an isolated transformer.
The toroidal construction of an auto-transformer offers important advantages in comparison with an E/I lamination core transformer, like smaller physical size and weight, 30-70% reduction (depending on secondary voltage) and very low magnetic strayfields. The auto-transformer can be mounted horizontally using a steel washer or our Poly-Mount, a plastic insert, or an epoxy potted center with a 1/4" mounting hole.
